“KENTUCKY OUTLAW”
Our country’s current circumstances and my personal journey inspired me to write this song. I wrote the lyrics and my friend, Mark Aulick put it to music. It surprised me there has never been a song “Kentucky Outlaw.” Kentucky has “Kentucky Woman,” “Kentucky Rain,” and “My Old Kentucky Home,” but there is no rocking/country anthem for our state. I hope this will be such an anthem.
I wrote this with the plan to send it to Kid Rock, Eric Church and similar artists and hope they put their own music to it and make it their own. It is perfect for them. I plan to give the pitch. The one line in the song is for Eric Church.
I envision Kid Rock or Eric Church belting it out on stage and Kentucky sports stadium audiences doing the same.
I had music put to give it context, but the lyrics are what I care about. My friend, Mark put together the “Mud Hole” band to record it and here we are.
My friend Chris Macke has taken all the steps to protect my rights to it so it’s time to release it. So here it is. I hope you like it. And do not be too harsh on us, while I like the music, we truly hope a big star takes the song and does their thing with it. If not, it has still been fun. My buddy, Cowboy Charles Mehlman who loves country music, says it needs a fiddle.
Maybe Kid Rock or Eric Church give it one. I also want to thank Pat Bradley and Green 13 for the
artwork.
I earned the nickname “Bulldog” with my grit for clients. I have equally earned the title of a Kentucky Outlaw.
“Its bad breaks dressed as rattlesnakes when all are just corrupt ole rakes,
But a dog bites, a cock fights and the Kentucky Outlaw has what it takes.”
“Kentucky Outlaw” is for Kentucky and all you outlaws!
